Junk Hauling: An Eco-Friendly Practice that Cleans Up in More Ways than One!

October 21st, 2013 by Andreas Xavier in Green Stuff. Topics:

The reduce, reuse, and recycle movement is catching on in cities and communities throughout the country, but particularly on the West Coast where the green movement has been in full swing.  Moreover, many companies and industries like junk hauling and removal services have demonstrated that recycling materials not only cleans up the environment, but can also clean up enough profit-wise to help support local charities (Source: Hauling by Fast Haul).

One San Francisco-based company, Fast Haul, is committed to promoting its green platform and showing that going green is green in more ways than one!  They are donating some of their proceeds to charities like the Salvation Army, Habitat for America, and Goodwill Industries.   Each month the company recycles thousands of pounds worth of paper and metal illustrating how the junk hauling business is inherently eco-friendly and has a long history of making the most of the debris that people leave behind.

What’s Junk?

Put simply, junk is the wide range of items people no longer want and wish someone would come and take away!  Junk hauling service providers regularly pick up items and debris like unwanted furniture, electronics, and appliances but also materials like yard waste, concrete, or items damaged by fire and flood.  Responsible companies that have embraced the tenets of an eco-friendly platform not only dispose of this waste properly; they organize and sort it so that much of their haul does not wind up in a landfill but is, instead, recycled or reused.

Support a Green Practice

If you have junk that cannot easily be broken down in a landfill, don’t place such items in your trash.  Instead, call and make an appointment with a junk hauling business like Fast Haul who can ensure that your unwanted items are discarded in an earth-friendly manner.  Items like broken televisions, refrigerators, and washing machines can be difficult to remove; yet a junk hauling service picks up such items on a regular basis and partners with other industries who recycle items like metal or plastics so that your junk does no harm to the planet and may be transformed into other useful products.

If you have junk laying around your yard, garage, basement, or attic, consider contacting your area junk hauler and getting rid of it all in the most eco-friendly way.  You’ll feel good about promoting a green service and you’ll love getting rid of the junk that’s been cluttering your home or property!
